I think we all agree how important ceremony is in keeping certain things, especially marriage, as sacred as they should be. I truly believe this. I also believe, however, that we should not lose our sense of celebration for the sake of the ceremony. The Ratliff wedding achieved this wonderfully. The entire day was full to the brim with joy and celebration. The first clue was likely when the entire wedding party, bride and groom included, came outfitted with spunky sunglasses and Nike sneakers. The message was clear: they were ready to party. I should also add that Damen comes from a family of nine siblings (who are nine of the most fun people I’ve ever met) and they rallied behind Brett and Damen all day long. You can probably imagine how lively the dance floor was, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
